Individuals Must Complete the Following Health Check

Please do not visit our facility if:

• You are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 (please click here to complete Ontario's self-assessment)
• You have been in contact with someone in the last 14 days who is known to have tested positive for COVID-19
• You have been outside of Canada in the last 14 days
• In the last 14 days, if have attended an event or gathering (including sports tournament) other than those which are permitted under Ontario's current re-opening phase.  You are asked to refrain from participating in any activity at the Minto Skating Centre facility until a 14 day period passing, symptom-free
• We ask that all users respect all Public Health guidelines, including restricting participants/teams coming from out-of-province and/or zones under a higher restriction level than Ottawa Public Health (In this case either ‘Red’ or ‘Lockdown’)

Entering the Facility

• Arrival time must not be any more than 15 minutes before the scheduled ice time.

• Upon arrival at the rink, skaters and coaches are to use the front entrance of the building, entering using the right hand doors and following the arrows to the right hand staircase leading down to dressing room area.
• The purchaser of the ice/main contact will make sure all participants are screened for COVID-19 based on the information on the Minto Skating Centre website (www.mintohockey.com) and they have collected contact information to support contact tracing.
• Masks must be worn at all times, inside the facility, with the exception of the on-ice portion of the visit
• ONE parent/guardian of children under the age of 12 is permitted to enter the skate tying area of the facility to tie their children’s skates if they are incapable of doing so.
• ONE parent/guardian per player will be permitted to supervise in the designated viewing areas per hourly session (must be the same individual as above) – SOCIAL DISTANCING MUST BE PRACTICED WHILE OBSERVING THE SKATE failure to do so will be grounds for removal from the facility.
• Skaters and coaches may now arrive at the rink in street clothes with hockey bag.  It is recommended that participants still arrive fully dressed as there are limited number of spaces available in each dressing room
• Dressing room assignments will be provided to coaches and skaters upon arrival

Exiting the Facility

• Once the session has ended, all patrons must use the dedicated exit to immediately leave the building

The Minto Skating Centre is now re-open with firm COVID-19 policies and protocols in place.  We are able to rent to all clients, at this point.
