Facility Info

Welcome to the Minto Skating Centre

Constructed in 1986, the Minto Skating Centre open its doors to figure skaters, hockey players, and fans of both. In 1993, Mask Management took over operations of the facility, making it one of the only private arena complexes in the National Capital Region. On a yearly basis, the Minto Skating Centre is one of the busiest arena complexes in the area, with ice being booked months in advance.

Clubs, camps, schools and shops!

Other than the Minto Adult Hockey League, the facility is also home to multiple known groups in the Ottawa area. C2 Sports Physiotherapy is one of our permanent tenants along with The Minto Skating Club (one of Canada's oldest clubs). Popular goalie school Goaler U along with Handmade Hockey use our studio pad, and skills development camps The Hockey Department and Apex Skating use the larger pads. We also host various Tae Kwon Do, Yoga and Dance classes in our hall.

The Studio Ice Pad

A unique pad here in Ottawa, this smaller than normal ice surface is home to the MAHL 3 on 3 League, multiple schools, as well as learn to skate programs. This pad is perfect for groups looking for an ice pad when they dont have many participants looking to come out. Perfect for adult 3 on 3, youth 4 on 4, the smaller rink ensures there is non-stop action throughout the game. This pad is also a much more cost effective rink for those looking to bring in their own instructors for private sessions. The rink is 85x65.

The Don Jackson Pad

Used primarily for the Minto Skating Club as well as the MAHL, this pad has held multiple skating competitions and high end hockey games. Having a larger seating capacity than the other pad, this international sized ice surface is the place to host your next big event. With a fully functional scoreboard, a Skate Canada approved sound system, and a jump harness, this rink is ready for hockey or figure skating! The rink is 200x100.

The North American Pad

Used primarily for the MAHL and various hockey leagues, this pad has held multiple tournament games, league championship games, as well as free skates. Having an average seating capacity, this north american sized ice surface is a great place to host hockey games. This rink has a fully functional scoreboard, a Skate Canada approved sound system and is 200x85.
